Calling all writers—whether you’re just starting out or deep into a work in progress! Join this welcoming Writing Club hosted by the Dripping Springs Art League, where writers of all backgrounds and experience levels can gather to write, share ideas, and support one another’s creative journey.

Each session offers dedicated time for writing, optional sharing, and thoughtful conversation around craft, process, and inspiration. This is a supportive, low-pressure space designed to help you build a writing habit, explore new ideas, and connect with a community of fellow creatives.

Whether you write fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, or something entirely your own, you’re invited to pull up a chair and put pen to paper.

Johnnie Bernhard is an award-winning writer whose novels have appeared on notable book lists and awards with Publisher’s Weekly, Deep South Magazine, Kindle Book Awards, the Association of University Presses, Press Women of Texas, and the National Federation of Press Women. Her novels focus on family, social issues, and the individual’s place in an ever-changing world: A Good Girl, How We Came to Be, Sisters of the Undertow, Hannah & Ariela. Johnnie was chosen as a selected speaker in the 2020 TEDx Fearless Women Series based on her essay, “The Human Story: What Connects Us As Humans Regardless of Geography, Race, and Religion.”  She lives in South Texas with her husband.
